Yan Chen is a highly experienced technology leader with a strong background in silicon and AI development. With over eight years at OPPO as Senior Director and Site Manager, Yan Chen founded and currently heads OPPO Silicon Development while previously leading OPPO AI Development. Prior experience includes serving as Principal Engineer/Manager at Qualcomm Ventures, where responsibilities included establishing development processes and leading a Linux BSP and connectivity team. Earlier roles include Senior Silicon Engineer at STMicroelectronics, overseeing various software developments for ARM SOC and FPGA platform chipsets, and Senior Hardware Engineer at ZTE, where Yan Chen directed a team in the design of CDMA handsets. Yan Chen holds both a Master’s and a Bachelor's degree from Tianjin University in Electrical, Electronics, and Communications Engineering, and Chemical Engineering, respectively.
