Yang Liu

Yang Liu is a seasoned professional in the field of wireless communication, currently serving as a Senior Communication Standard Researcher at OPPO since January 2020. In this role, Yang functions as a wireless standard delegate within 3GPP RAN2, focusing on 5G air-interface higher layer research, generating new intellectual property rights, and actively participating in 3GPP meetings to advocate for company interests. Previously, Yang contributed to 5G architecture and protocol research at China Mobile Research Institute from January 2017 to January 2020, engaging in standardization efforts within 3GPP RAN WG2 and WG3. Yang's early experience includes a research internship at Bell Laboratories, Alcatel-Lucent. Academic credentials include a Ph.D. in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from The University of Sheffield, a Master of Science in Communication Engineering from the University of York, and a Bachelor's Degree in Communication Engineering from China Agricultural University.
