Steve Kennedy

Steve Kennedy is a seasoned professional in energy banking, currently serving as Managing Director at Opportune and as a member of the Board of Directors for Via Renewables since June 2023. Prior to these roles, Steve Kennedy founded and held multiple leadership positions at Amegy Bank from January 1997 to December 2023, where the energy banking group was established and expanded to 38 professionals with significant loan commitments. Steve Kennedy's career also includes experience at Wells Fargo Bank and MBank Dallas/Bank One, where roles focused on energy banking. Educational qualifications include an M.B.A. in Finance from Baylor University and a B.S. in Petroleum Engineering from Texas A&M University, complemented by an Associate of Science degree from Kilgore College.
