Hemant Kumar

Hemant Kumar is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in strategic initiatives and economic development. Currently serving as the Director of Strategic Priorities at Opportunities NB since March 2020, Hemant previously held the position of Senior Strategic Advisor and directed strategic initiatives within the Executive Council Office of the Government of New Brunswick from April 2018 to March 2020. Prior to that, Hemant worked as a Senior Policy Analyst in the Strategy and Innovation Policy Sector at Innovation, Science and Economic Development and accumulated significant experience in various roles focused on economic development and planning within the Government of New Brunswick from 2012 to 2017. Hemant began a career in economic development at Enterprise Saint John from 2006 to 2012. Hemant holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Global Business Management from Saint Mary's University and a Certificate in Economic Development from the University of Waterloo.
