Cees Plaizier is currently the Head of Privacy and Contract Management at Optable, a position held since 2025. Previously, Cees worked as a lawyer at Kennedy Van der Laan from 2018 to 2024, where they litigated data protection and cybersecurity cases, provided strategic advice, and negotiated technology-related agreements. Cees also interned at DLA Piper and Bird & Bird in 2016, and served as Chairperson for the Studievereniging voor Informatierecht from 2016 to 2017. Cees was a team member of the Media Law Moot Court at the Institute for Information Law and has a Master of Laws in Information Law and Intellectual Property from the University of Amsterdam.
