Phil Cheetham

Phil Cheetham currently serves as the Group Head of Data Platforms, Product & Engineering, as well as Group Head of Data Intelligence Technology at LSEG (London Stock Exchange Group) since January 2024. Cheetham holds advisory roles with Optalysys as a Non Executive Board Member and Strategic Advisor, and with Oblivious as a Strategic Advisor. As Principal Advisor and Founder at Engenuitee Labs, Cheetham provides technology guidance to various VC-backed startups and established technology companies. Previous positions include Vice President of Instance Platforms EC2 at Amazon Web Services (2020-2022), CIO of Digital at Barclays Corporate Banking (2018-2020), and CTO of Digital at HSBC (2017-2018). Additionally, Cheetham held roles at AOL Platforms, including VP Engineering and Head of Advertising Technologies for Europe. Cheetham began mentoring high-performance startups at Enterprise Ireland in 2010. Cheetham earned a BSc Honours in Applied Computer Science from De Montfort University from 1993 to 1997.
