Tim Whitfield

Tim Whitfield is a seasoned engineer with over 30 years of experience in semiconductor design and engineering leadership. Currently serving as a SoC Architect at Optalysys since July 2023, Tim is focused on developing innovative silicon solutions to enhance the processing of Fully Homomorphic Encrypted data. Concurrently, as a Consulting Engineer at First Silicon Consulting Ltd, Tim offers expertise across all phases of chip design. Prior roles include Chief of Engineering at Imagination Technologies, overseeing semiconductor intellectual property developments, and a substantial tenure at Arm, where Tim held multiple strategic and managerial positions, including VP of Strategy and General Manager of the Technology Services Group. Tim's journey began with an ASIC Design Engineer position at Fujitsu Telecommunications Europe Limited, following an engineering degree from Brunel University London.
