Jamie Hall is a technology professional with extensive experience in software engineering and research, currently serving as Co-Founder at Lorikeet since August 2023. Prior to this role, Jamie held the position of Senior Software Engineer at Google from March 2017 to August 2023, where contributions included early core work on Meena, LaMDA, and participation in the original Bard research team, focusing on factual grounding and retrieval augmentation. Previous experience also includes a data scientist/software engineer role at Kaggle, and an economist position at the Reserve Bank of Australia. Jamie began professional experience as a researcher at the University of New South Wales and holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Economics from UNSW, obtained between 2011 and 2015.
