Jonas Hombert

Jonas Hombert has a diverse range of work experience that spans various industries and roles. Jonas is the founder and CEO of Opti, a financial technology company focused on long-term savings. Jonas is also a pledger at Founders Pledge, committed to donating a portion of their returns from their businesses to philanthropic causes.

In addition, Hombert has served as an advisor at Nuday Games, a company that develops games targeted at music subcultures, and as a board member at Merchii, a company that specializes in image and video tagging for advertising purposes. Merchii was later acquired by Flipsicle Inc.

Hombert has also worked at BlackBerry, where they served as the Manager of Software Development. Jonas led a team that created Story Maker, an application for mobile video editing that gained a million users within three months. Prior to BlackBerry, Hombert co-founded and served as the CEO of JayCut, an online video editor that became the most used tool of its kind globally. JayCut was eventually acquired by BlackBerry.

Hombert has also been involved in entrepreneurship associations and initiatives. Jonas served as the Vice President of Excitera, a non-profit entrepreneurship association, where they launched an entrepreneurial network spanning major universities in Stockholm. Jonas was also an Advisory Board Member at the Stockholm School of Entrepreneurship and worked as a Partner Manager for the Swedish Game Awards, a non-profit organization focused on game development competitions.

Throughout their career, Hombert has demonstrated leadership, entrepreneurial skills, and a passion for technology, innovation, and philanthropy.

Jonas Hombert began their education in 2005 at the KTH Royal Institute of Technology, where they studied Industrial Engineering and Management. Jonas completed their studies at KTH in 2007. From 2007 to 2009, they attended the Stockholm School of Entrepreneurship, focusing on Global Entrepreneurial Leadership, Negotiation and Sales, and developing an Innovative Mindset.

In addition to their academic education, Jonas Hombert obtained a certification in Securities Markets Expertise for Management and Control Functions from SwedSec Licensiering AB in August 2015.
