Jim Stechyson's work experience begins in 1990 when they served as President of OM Video, a company specializing in professional audio/visual and conferencing communications equipment. Jim held this position until 2002, during which they spearheaded the company's efforts to improve communication effectiveness in the meeting environment.

From 2002 to 2003, Stechyson served as President of ClearOne Canada, where they led the integration of OM Video following ClearOne's purchase. Jim also established the Canadian distribution channel for ClearOne's audio conferencing systems and related products.

In 2000, Stechyson became the Chairman of the Board of Directors at Zim Corporation, overseeing corporate governance, compliance, and strategic planning. Zim Corporation provides software products and services for the database and mobile markets.

Currently, Stechyson holds the position of President at Opti9 Tech, a global cloud company specializing in hybrid cloud solutions. Opti9 Tech has been delivering cloud services for over 20 years to organizations of all sizes, and Stechyson oversees the company's operations and growth.

Jim Stechyson attended Hillcrest High School from 1979 to 1983. Jim then went on to study Economics and Commerce at Carleton University from 1983 to 1985.
