Gregory Shields

Gregory Shields has over 20 years of experience as a Software Engineer. Gregory started their career at the Cambridge Crystallographic Data Centre in 1997 and worked there until 2018. In 2018, they joined Optibrium Ltd. as a Software Engineer.

Gregory Shields completed their education history as follows. Gregory attended William Brookes School in Much Wenlock from 1984 to 1991, where they focused on studying chemistry, physics, and mathematics at the high school level. Gregory then pursued higher education at Pembroke College, University of Cambridge, starting in 1991 and graduating in 1994, with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Chemistry. Gregory continued their academic journey at the same institution, completing a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Structural Chemistry from 1994 to 1997. In March 2021, they obtained the certification of Member Chartered Chemist from the Royal Society of Chemistry.
