Philip Gassin

Philip Gassin has extensive work experience in various leadership and financial roles. Philip is currently serving as the Executive VP and COO at Optics 1 since May 2023. Philip previously held the position of CFO at the same company from July 2018 to April 2023. Prior to that, they worked as the Interim CFO at Propulsion Technologies International, LLC from January 2018 to June 2018.

Before joining Optics 1, Gassin served as the COO at Nexcelle LLC, a joint venture between GE and Aircelle from June 2015 to December 2017. Philip also worked as a Strategy Business Partner at Safran Consulting from November 2014 to May 2015.

Gassin's previous experience includes working at Safran Nacelles as the Vice President Industrial Strategy and Planning from November 2011 to October 2014, and at Safran Inc. where they held various roles such as Senior Vice President, Vice President MRO North America, Vice President and CFO, and Senior Vice President. Philip was responsible for different areas such as operations, maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO), finance, accounting, tax, legal, and contracts.

Before joining Safran Inc., Gassin worked as the CFO at SPECO Corporation, Safran Group from March 1994 to July 1996, and at Snecma, Safran Group where they held roles such as Plant Controller and Assistant Treasurer. Philip started their career as a Field Engineer at CGGVeritas from February 1985 to August 1988.

Philip Gassin has a comprehensive education history that includes pursuing an MBA in Finance from The University of Texas at Austin from 1987 to 1988. Prior to that, between 1980 and 1983, they studied at Central Paris University in France, where they obtained a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
