Rex Kong

Rex Kong currently serves as the Systems Integration Engineering Manager at OptiGrid, a position held since September 2024. Prior to this role, Rex was a Senior Engineering Manager at FreeWire Technologies from November 2019 to September 2024, where the focus was on delivering energy solutions to transition from fossil fuels. Rex started at FreeWire as a Product Engineer, involved in product/process analysis, development feedback, and the release of new product lines. Earlier experience includes an Electrical Engineer role at Helmer Scientific, a Product Manager position at T2 Systems, and participation in the Orr Fellowship program. Rex holds a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from Purdue University, earned in 2015.
