Optimal Careers is one of the Top Executive Search firms specializing in Architecture, MEP Engineering, & Construction. We connect quality candidates to the best AEC firms across the US.

Optimal Careers is a Full-Service firm, actively managing our candidates to maximize predictability and minimize surprises for our clients.

This includes:
• Briefing you on candidate motivations, needs, current compensation, desired comp to close them, etc.
• Setting everyone's expectations before the first interview.
• Continuously verifying and managing those expectations
• Constant interaction with candidates to minimize and correct misunderstandings, maintain their elevated interest, and keep them focused on your firm.
• Keeping you informed of any changes or risks.
• Negating counter offers before they happen through early coaching and education on the pitfalls of counter offers.

You are in the driver seat, and we do the legwork to get you where you want to go!

This includes ensuring alignment of motivations, expectations, and affordability.
Our approach to recruiting is centered around relationships and networking rather than the typical hard sell, transactional approach of most agencies. This maximizes the quality of candidates we present and their tenure once placed. Over half of our placements are the result of existing relationships. Last year 25% of our placements were the direct result of referrals provided by candidates we’ve already placed or worked with in a substantial manner. Another 30% were the result of placing folks who we already have a relationship with and did not need to “recruit”.
Our goal is to place the right talent at your firm while making the best use of your time, even if it means more legwork on our part.
Finally, we work entirely on contingency so there’s no obligation to you until you hire the perfect candidate
