At Optimal Chef Services, we connect outstanding freelance chefs with hospitality businesses across the East Midlands and beyond. Founded in 2016 by ex-chef Chris Parry, we’re a chef-led agency that understands exactly what kitchens need.

We specialise in temporary chef placements for restaurants, pubs, hotels, care homes, schools, and event caterers. Whether you’re facing unexpected absences, seasonal peaks, or long-term gaps, our chefs are ready to step in—skilled, reliable, and fully briefed before arrival.

Our team of office staff are all former chefs themselves, bringing decades of combined kitchen experience to every placement. We know that every kitchen is different, and we pride ourselves on sending the right person for our clients' individual needs.

For chefs, we offer flexible, well-paid work with a respectful and supportive agency. You choose the shifts that suit you, and we’ll support you with clear expectations, detailed site info, and a direct line to people who understand the job inside out.
