Lead Industrial Designer at Optimal Design

Patrick McVey has a diverse work experience in the field of industrial design. Patrick started their career as a Design Intern at Beyond Design Inc in 2009, where they worked closely with clients to develop design strategies and concepts. Patrick also gave presentations on their findings to clients. In 2010, they worked as a Freelance Industrial Designer at Beyond Design, Inc where they collaborated with other designers to create sales and packaging materials for clients. Patrick also developed physical models to help clients visualize and articulate their thoughts and needs. From 2011, Patrick McVey worked at Optimal Design as the Lead Industrial Designer, where they managed the Industrial Design team and focused on product development and UX design. Patrick guided the team towards successful and emotionally compelling product designs. Additionally, they worked as a Freelance Industrial Designer at JOSS Design Group and as an Industrial Design Consultant at Invent2win Competitive Products LLC. Patrick McVey also had a role as an Industrial Designer at Work Space, where they provided design and marketing services to small businesses and local bands. Before that, in 2008, they co-founded Crisp Enterprises Inc and was responsible for designing and engineering an adjustable woman's heeled shoe as part of a student venture.
