Mike Voets

Mike Voets has a diverse work experience in the field of software development and technology consulting. Mike most recently worked as a Senior Backend and Platform Developer at Optimal Workshop starting in April 2022. Prior to that, they worked at ASC (Author-it Software Co.) from February 2020 to April 2022, where they held multiple roles including People Coach and Senior Software Engineer. Mike was responsible for designing and implementing software solutions, developing microservices, and utilizing various AWS resources. Before that, Mike worked as a Python Developer at Cancer Registry of Norway (Kreftregisteret) from September 2019 to November 2019, where they extended a Python program for pseudonymizing DICOM mammograms. From September 2015 to August 2019, they worked at Jupiter System Partner AS as a Full-stack Software Developer, where they led technical development and maintenance of web applications and microservices using technologies such as Ruby on Rails, Python, NodeJS, and PostgreSQL. In September 2018, they worked as a Python Developer at UiT The Arctic University of Norway, focusing on developing a program to anonymize DICOM mammograms. Additionally, Mike worked as a Technology Consultant at Medsensio from September 2017 to January 2018, where they provided assistance to a medtech startup and worked on full-stack development and machine learning algorithm development. Mike Voets has a strong educational background in computer science. Mike obtained a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Computer Science from UiT- The Arctic University of Norway between 2016 and 2018. Prior to their master's degree, they completed their Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Computer Science also from UiT- The Arctic University of Norway, spanning from 2012 to 2016. In addition to their studies in Norway, Mike Voets spent a year at Waseda University in 2014-2015 as an International Exchange Student within the School of International Liberal Studies (SILS).
