Steve Chen

Steve Chen 陈旭 has over 20 years of work experience in various roles related to global sourcing and mechanical engineering. Steve is currently serving as the Senior Director of Global Sourcing at Optimas Solutions since August 2016. Prior to this, they worked at HD Supply Facilities Maintenance as the Director of Global Sourcing from January 2009 to March 2016. Steve also gained experience as a Global Sourcing Manager at Elkay Manufacturing from February 2007 to December 2008 and at iLight Technologies from September 2005 to February 2007. Before transitioning into sourcing roles, they worked as a Mechanical Engineer at Emerson/Stratos International from November 1998 to September 2005, where they designed optical transceivers, supervised manufacturing processes, and established a joint venture in China. Prior to this, they worked as a Mechanical Engineer at Verson Allsteel Press Co. from June 1994 to October 1998.

Steve Chen attended the University of Shanghai for Science and Technology from 1984 to 1988, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Power Engineering. Steve then pursued a Master's degree in Power Engineering from the same university from 1988 to 1991. In 1992, they enrolled at Oregon State University but did not complete their degree in Mechanical Engineering, leaving in 1994.
