Firas Rababaa

Firas Rababaa is an experienced Optimization Engineer at Optimatics since September 2023, previously serving as Engineer I at GZA GeoEnvironmental, Inc. from July 2021 to September 2023, where expertise included hydrologic and hydraulic analysis and inundation mapping. Firas gained valuable research experience as a Graduate Assistant at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign from February 2020 to February 2021, developing algorithms for sediment tracking and conducting Particle Tracking Velocimetry measurements. Early career experiences include a Civil Engineer role at a housing developments company and an internship at Azmeel Contracting. Firas holds a Master's degree in Civil/Water Resources Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Jordan.
