John Brelsford

John Brelsford currently serves as Head of Sales for Optimatics, focusing on sales and business development in Australia and New Zealand since August 2023. Additionally, John is a member of the RiSWP Leadership Team and an ambassador for SWAN - The Smart Water Networks Forum, where efforts are directed toward promoting analytics and optimization software to global water utilities and educating young professionals in the smart water sector. Previously, John held various positions at AVK Holding A/S from September 2019 to August 2023, including National Account Manager and Regional Account Manager, where responsibilities included managing key distributor accounts and liaising with significant water utility clients. John's experience also includes working as a Technical Sales Engineer at AMRC, engaging with major industrial partners, and serving as a High Ropes Instructor at Sandy Hill Camp and Retreat Center. John holds an MSc in Finance, Leadership, and Management from the University of York and a BEng in Chemical Engineering from The University of Sheffield.
