Mandela Patrick, PhD has an extensive and versatile work experience spanning over several years. In 2015, they held the position of FBU Software Engineering Intern at Facebook. In 2016, they worked as a Technology Summer Analyst at Goldman Sachs. The following year, they served as a CS51 Teaching Fellow at Harvard University, where they taught and mentored students in functional and object-oriented programming.
After their stint at Harvard, Mandela took up a Software Engineer Intern role at Instagram in 2017. In 2018, they joined B12 as a Software Engineering Intern, where they developed and deployed a contextual multi-armed bandit recommender system using Django and Python.
In 2019, they joined Meta as a Research Intern, conducting AI research. Over the course of two years as a Visiting AI Researcher at Meta, they collaborated on advanced AI projects.
Mandela then transitioned to Mosaic Ventures in 2020, working as an Artificial Intelligence Consultant until mid-2021. Following that, they joined PiñataFarms as a Machine Learning Researcher and later took on the role of Growth Lead.

Mandela Patrick, PhD, has an extensive education history. Mandela began their academic journey at Naparima College, where they pursued their high school education from 2007 to 2014. During this time, they focused on Mathematics and Information Technology.
After completing high school, Mandela enrolled at Harvard University, where they earned their Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science. Mandela studied at Harvard from 2014 to 2018, gaining a solid foundation in the field.
Driven by a passion for autonomous intelligent machines and systems, Mandela pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) at the University of Oxford from 2018 to 2021. Mandela specialized in the Autonomous Intelligent Machines and Systems CDT program, focusing on cutting-edge research in this field.
In addition to their formal education, Mandela also obtained various certifications to further enhance their knowledge and skills.
