Thomas Schøyen

Thomas Schmelzle is an experienced Industrial Designer currently working at SDI Technologies, Inc. since August 2022. Previously, Thomas held the position of Production Designer at Nephros from September 2021 to June 2022, focusing on production design for medical and commercial filtration materials. In a prior role as Graphic and Web Designer at Matrix Mirrors, Thomas contributed to the graphical redesign and rebranding of web pages, enhancing UI/UX for both mobile and desktop platforms. Additional experience includes serving as a Multimedia Studio Assistant at Georgia Institute of Technology, where responsibilities included managing large format printers, and as a Launchpad Lead Student Coordinator for design expos. Thomas also served as a CAD Modeling Consultant for Children's Healthcare of Atlanta, instructing hospital representatives in Autodesk Fusion 360 for prosthetic device design. Thomas holds a Bachelor of Science in Industrial and Product Design from Georgia Institute of Technology and participated in an exchange program at Eindhoven University of Technology in 2019.
