Optimise Foundation is a non-profit organisation dedicated to bringing cutting-edge research on female physiology in sport to grassroots and youth athletes. 

Our mission is to improve conditions for girls and women in sport, ensuring that they have access to the knowledge, support, and resources they need to thrive.

In 2020, 94% of research into human sports performance was focused on male athletes, with women’s training and nutrition guidelines being largely based on male data. 

Yet, emerging research indicates that girls and women enjoy improved health and performance outcomes and can avoid injury if they consider, track and train in line with their unique female physiology and hormone fluctuations.
 
This new information, championed in elite female athletics, is not actively communicated to grassroots sports. Optimise was set up to bridge this gap.

We are health specialists, coaches, teachers, parents, athletes and Paralympians. We communicate scientific research and commercial offerings to empower girls and women to optimise their training around their unique physiology, enabling them to achieve their fitness and performance goals.
