We redesign work systems so your people can do their best work without burning out.

We help mission‑critical organisations reduce fatigue, errors, and turnover while improving safety, productivity, and workforce stability.

Based in Canberra, we partner with Defence, emergency services, aviation, resources, and complex government and corporate environments.

Optimised Human Performance (OHP) sits at the intersection of operational excellence and worker wellbeing.

We focus on how work is designed – the systems, rosters, tools, and environments your people operate in – so performance improves without sacrificing health or safety.

Led by Founder and Managing Director Dr Anthony Walker, an occupational performance expert with frontline experience, OHP blends real‑world operational insight with occupational science, human factors, and ergonomics.

We work with organisations to uncover hidden performance risks, then design practical, evidence‑based changes that lift reliability, safety, and capacity.

What we do

We help you:

- Redesign work systems – Align roles, workflows, and processes with real human capabilities to cut error, rework, and incidents while improving throughput and clarity.

- Improve ergonomics and equipment use – Redesign tools, workstations, and tasks to reduce musculoskeletal injuries, fatigue, and compensation costs while enabling sustained performance.

- Manage fatigue and optimise rosters – Identify fatigue risks and redesign rosters, policies, and practices to reduce fatigue‑related errors, improve readiness, and support WHS compliance.

- Integrate human factors into technology and automation – Make new systems intuitive and reliable under pressure, increasing adoption and and reducing technical and operational errors.

Engineer safety into design – Build safety into projects and systems early to remove hazards at the source and lower incident potential, lifecycle cost, and regulatory exposure.
