Mark Metcalfe

Mark Metcalfe is a seasoned technical writer with extensive experience in leading documentation initiatives across various technology companies. Currently serving as a Staff Technical Writer at Optimizely since January 2015, Mark played a pivotal role in ensuring documentation quality and producing technical product videos as part of a global writing team. Prior to this role, Mark held significant positions including Documentation Director at Ektron, where the development of a new documentation model enhanced information access, and Sr. Manager of Technical Publications at Sybase, managing a team of writers. With a career beginning in technical writing at Wang Laboratories and encompassing leadership roles at Cadence Design Systems and other organizations, Mark has consistently demonstrated expertise in managing teams, improving documentation processes, and enhancing user experience. Mark holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Computer Science from Eastern Nazarene College.
