Sergio Vega

Sergio Vega is a skilled Staff Site Reliability Engineer currently working at Optimizely since May 2023. Previously, Sergio served as an SRE at Booking.com, where responsibilities included building Terraform providers, migrating infrastructure to GKE, and improving CI/CD pipelines. Prior to that, Sergio worked as a DevOps Engineer at Harlem Next, focusing on CI/CD pipeline design and application containerization. As CTO at VIRTALUS, Sergio led DevOps initiatives and was responsible for the architecture of the HyperCX IaaS solution. Additionally, Sergio has extensive experience in academia as a Computer Networks Professor at Universidad Tecnológica de La Habana and has held various engineering and consulting roles, developing cloud infrastructure and implementing new technologies across different organizations. Sergio earned a BS in Telecommunications Engineering from Instituto Superior Politécnico José Antonio Echeverría (CUJAE) in 2016.
