Larry Stapleton

Larry Stapleton is the current President at Optimum Energy. Prior to this, they were the President of Ballard Fuel Cell Systems, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Ballard Power Systems. Larry has also held positions as Vice President of Worldwide Sales & Marketing at BSQUARE and Vice President of Global Business Development at Terabeam.

Larry has over 20 years of experience in the technology industry. Larry has a proven track record in sales and marketing, business development, and product management. Larry is a strategic thinker and an excellent communicator. Larry is a tireless worker who is always looking for ways to improve the organization they are working for.

Larry has helped establish Ballard’s technical services business, championed the use of management tools like SFDC, and positioned Ballard for success with key customers such as Van Hool, Volkswagen, T-Mobile, Sprint, Nokia, Globe, Reliance, and Ericsson. Larry leaves Ballard a stronger organization.

Larry Stapleton has earned both a BSME in Mechanical Engineering from San Jose State University and an MBA in International Business and Marketing from the University of Washington - Michael G. Foster School of Business.
