Jan de Jonghe

Jan De Jonghe has extensive experience in engineering and technology leadership, serving as Chief Technology Officer at Optimum Sorting from July 2017 to December 2022. Prior to this role, Jan held positions at TOMRA Sorting Food, first as R&D Manager and then as Teamleader of Mechanical Engineering, overseeing a team of nine engineers in the mechanical design of optical sorting equipment for the Food and Tobacco markets. Earlier in Jan's career, Jan worked as a Mechanical Design Engineer at BEST nv, where project leadership was a key focus, coordinating multiple engineering disciplines. Jan is also the Zaakvoerder at KEVIAN bvba since July 2017. Educationally, Jan holds a Master’s degree in Electro-Mechanical Engineering with a specialization in Biomedical Technology from KU Leuven and completed studies at Sint-Michielscollege Brasschaat.
