Paul Sajda

Chief Science Officer at Optios

Paul Sajda has an extensive work experience spanning several organizations and roles. Paul currently serves as the President of the IEEE Engineering in Medicine and Biology Society. Prior to this, they were a Professor at Columbia University in the City of New York. In 2019, they held the position of Chief Science Officer at Optios and also acted as an Advisor at OpenBCI. From 2016 to 2019, they were a Co Founder at BRAIQ, and from 2007 to 2019, they were a Co Founder at Neuromatters LLC. Earlier in their career, they worked at SRI International as the Head of Adaptive Image and Signal Processing from 1994 to 2000.

Paul Sajda attended the Massachusetts Institute of Technology from 1985 to 1989, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering. Following this, they pursued higher education at the University of Pennsylvania from 1989 to 1994, earning a Master of Science degree and a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering.
