Peter O'Connell

Peter O'Connell began their work experience as a Front End employee at Wegmans Food Markets in May 2008 and continued in this role until September 2012. Peter then served as a Research Assistant in Biomedical Engineering at the University of Rochester Medical Center from July 2012 to August 2013. Following this, they worked as a Software Algorithm Engineer at OptiPro Systems starting in September 2013. In this role, they derived and programmed mathematical models for CNC machine control, wrote and tested code for optics manufacturing and metrology, gathered project requirements, produced specifications, determined feasibility, provided time and material estimates, and evaluated third-party APIs. Most recently, they joined Gleason Corporation as a Software Engineer in February 2023.

Peter O'Connell attended SUNY Geneseo from 2008 to 2012, where they pursued a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Physics.
