Jonathan Landon

RF Engineer at Optisys

Jonathan Landon has extensive work experience in RF engineering. Jonathan currently works at Optisys LLC since 2021 in the role of RF Engineer. Prior to that, they worked at L3Harris Technologies for 10 years from 2011 to 2021, also as an RF Engineer.

Before joining L3Harris Technologies, Jonathan was a Graduate Student at Brigham Young University from 2006 to 2011. Here, they developed an algorithm for moving interferers in telescope sidelobes, which showed significant improvement over standard subspace projection algorithms. Jonathan utilized skills in LaTeX, C, MATLAB beamforming code, optimization routines, matrix eigenvector and subspace analysis.

Jonathan was also a Visiting Student Researcher at UC Berkeley in 2010. During this time, they contributed to the international CASPER collaboration and gained experience in Matlab/Xilinx toolflow, Linux environment, Python, and Simulink.

In 2005, Jonathan worked as an Engineering Co-op/Intern at L3Harris Technologies. Here, they were involved in C++ development for high-frequency beyond line-of-sight modem. Jonathan also worked on Perl scripting for CVS automation and gained experience with CVS and ClearCase revision control systems.

Throughout their career, Jonathan has acquired skills in various programming languages, MATLAB, beamforming, optimization techniques, and revision control systems.

Jonathan Landon‎ completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Brigham Young University from the years 2000 to 2006. Jonathan went on to pursue their PhD in Electrical Engineering from the same university, which they completed from 2006 to 2011.
