Dave Hicks is a seasoned cybersecurity professional with extensive experience across multiple industries. Currently serving as Managing Partner at Optiv since October 2022, Hicks leads cybersecurity engagements, focusing on strategy development and security operations for various sectors, including financial services and healthcare. Prior to this role, Hicks held positions at Grant Thornton LLP as Managing Director of Cybersecurity and Privacy Services and at Deloitte as Managing Director of Cyber Risk Services, overseeing cybersecurity strategy, assessments, and managed services. Earlier in his career, Hicks gained expertise in identity and access management at Oblix and managed IT strategy projects at Ernst & Young Global Consulting Services. Hicks commenced professional career as a Senior Systems Software Programmer at Arthur Andersen & Co. after earning a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
