Derek Nash

Derek Nash is a seasoned security professional with extensive experience in cybersecurity and information security advisory roles. Currently serving as Principal Security Advisor at Optiv since June 2018, Derek leads the Eastern US Domain Advisors teams and develops systems and playbooks for the Digital Infrastructure Security and Transformation team. Prior to this, Derek held positions as Senior Manager and Senior Solutions Engineer at Recorded Future and Cybereason, respectively, focusing on threat intelligence solutions and advanced cybersecurity. Derek’s career includes multiple architect and consultant roles at Accuvant, Datalink, and Midwave, where expertise was provided in security architecture and information technology consulting. Derek holds educational credentials from various institutions, including the University of Maryland Global Campus and additional training from SABSA and SANS.
