Derek Perri is a seasoned professional in cyber security with extensive experience in operational technology (OT) and industrial control systems (ICS). Currently serving as a Senior Consultant at Optiv since November 2021, Derek specializes in identifying and mitigating risks within ICS, OT, and IoT systems while enhancing client cyber security programs using various frameworks such as NIST and MITRE. Prior to this role, Derek worked at Xcel Energy as a Senior Cyber Security Analyst, focusing on incident response and security engineering for IT/OT networks. Additional experience includes positions at InteliSecure where Derek served as a Solutions Architect and Senior Information Security Engineer, along with early roles in technical support and military service in the US Army. Derek holds an Associate of Arts and Sciences degree from Pueblo Community College and a CCNA certification from the Cisco Networking Academy.
