Fernando Chavez

Fernando Chavez is an experienced cybersecurity and telecommunications professional with a strong focus on identity security solutions. Currently serving as a Consultant I at Optiv since May 2025, Fernando previously held various roles at MajorKey Technologies from January 2022 to August 2025, including Senior Identity Security Engineer, where expertise in CyberArk PAM solutions was demonstrated through implementation, architectural reviews, and mentorship. Earlier career experiences include significant positions at Council Rock: Smart Private Networks as a Senior Systems Engineer, as well as a Teaching Assistant at Rochester Institute of Technology, and a Network Operations Center Technician at TRICOM, S.A. Fernando holds a Master of Science in Telecommunications Engineering from Rochester Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical, Electronics, and Communications Engineering from Universidad APEC.
