Russell Pierce

Russell Pierce currently serves as the Executive Director of Security & Privacy Advisory Services at Optiv Inc, focusing on the development of information risk management services for Federal/State government and critical infrastructure. Prior experience includes roles as Privacy & Information Security Officer at the U.S. Department of Transportation, where management of security risks aligned with federal standards was key, and as the CEO and Founder of RWP & Associates, a consultancy firm dedicated to addressing information security challenges. Additional roles include Adjunct Faculty at New England Institute of Technology, where course syllabuses on information security and digital forensics were developed and taught, and extensive experience at CVS Caremark Corporation and CVS Pharmacy as an ISO and Enterprise Security Architect. Russell holds a B.S. in Information Systems Management from Central Connecticut State University.
