Tim Farley

Tim Farley is an experienced cybersecurity professional with a robust background in application security and system engineering. Currently serving as a Principal Security Consultant at Optiv Inc since October 2018, Tim focuses on security analysis for web applications to ensure client safety. Tim's prior roles include Security Engineer at Acuity Brands, where responsibilities involved supporting IoT-related projects and conducting security tests, as well as an extensive tenure at IBM, which included positions as an Application Security Analyst and Senior Application Security Analyst, monitoring and enhancing security for cloud-based products. With a career rooted in software engineering, Tim has held key positions at various companies, including SPI Dynamics, Ipswitch, and Internet Security Systems, where contributions spanned from designing security detection logic to enhancing network monitoring tools. Tim’s foundational education in engineering was completed at the Georgia Institute of Technology.
