James Marcin has over 13 years of experience in various roles. James began their career in 2006 as a Consultant at Accenture, where they were responsible for applying strategic IT methodologies on a broad range of health care projects. In 2008, they moved to Blizzard Entertainment as an Associate Producer, where they drove the design and development of the corporate business intelligence solution and led the initiative to research, present, and purchase $250K in infrastructure and software for a global corporate business intelligence solution. In 2010, they took on a Summer Intern role at PIMCO, where they were responsible for improving processes associated with creating and delivering requests for proposals (RFPs) and maintaining consultant databases. In 2011, they joined QSC Audio as Manager, Strategic Finance and Operations, where they designed and built from scratch a new model for fiscal year forecasting and budgeting, and designed and constructed a large-scale management science model to determine the company’s optimal 10-year manufacturing and logistics global footprint. In 2014, they moved to 5.11 Tactical as a Senior Business Intelligence Analyst and Sales and Operations Planning Analyst. James is currently at OPTIVATIONS, where they hold the roles of Account Director and Channel Manager.
James Marcin received their MBA from the University of California, Irvine - The Paul Merage School of Business in 2011, with a focus in Accounting and Finance. In 2010, they participated in an exchange program at ESSEC Business School. James also holds a MSE in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Michigan College of Engineering, which they earned in 2006, and a BSE in Biomedical Engineering from the same institution, which they earned in 2005.
