Barnaby Sleat

Barnaby Sleat is an experienced Applications Engineer at Optiver, serving since June 2021, following a role as a Senior Technical Analyst at FlexTrade from September 2018 to June 2021. Prior to that, Barnaby held positions as a Fundraising Officer with the Southampton University Symphony Orchestra, where responsibilities included fundraising and event organization, and as a Research Scientist at the University of Southampton, rejoining the Solid State Quantum Optics research group in 2017. Earlier experience includes serving as a Student Representative and a Research Scientist in the same research group, focusing on FDTD simulations for photonic waveguides. Barnaby earned a Master of Physics degree from the University of Southampton from 2014 to 2018 and completed A-Levels at Queen Mary's College and GCSEs at The Hurst Community College.
