David Barclay is a seasoned finance professional with extensive experience in trading and sales within the commodities sector. Currently serving as Head of Institutional Trading - FICC at Optiver since June 2022, David has held various positions in notable financial institutions, including commodity hedge fund sales roles at Morgan Stanley and J.P. Morgan from January 2020 to February 2022 and August 2014 to September 2019, respectively. Prior experience includes serving in sales at Merrill Lynch and Standard Chartered Bank, as well as working in metals trading and strategy.
