Gregory Saunders currently serves as the Head of IT Education at Optiver Asia Pacific since August 2015, previously holding a position as a Developer. Prior to this, Gregory worked as a Quantitative Research Analyst at Pengana Capital from April 2013 to July 2015, where responsibilities included managing an SQL database for market data and enhancing a portfolio simulator in R and SQL. From July 2003 to January 2013, Gregory was a Quantitative Analyst at Metisq Capital, focusing on database design for ASX equities and developing Matlab interfaces for portfolio research tools. Gregory began a career in academia as a Lecturer and Tutor at the School of Information Technologies at the University of Sydney from February 1995 to December 2003, delivering courses in Systems Administration and Operating Systems, while also working as a Postdoctoral Fellow on workflow-based training systems. Gregory holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Computer Science and a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Computer Science, both from the University of Sydney.
