Liam Smith

Liam Smith currently serves as the Chief Strategy Officer at Optiver, overseeing Corporate Strategy, Government Relations, Principal Strategic Investments, and Execution Services for US markets since October 2017. Additionally, Liam holds multiple roles including Head of Corporate Strategy at MEMX, Chair of the Options Market Structure Committee, and Board Member at MIAX Exchange Group. Liam is also an Executive Committee Member of FIA, Inc. and has advisory roles with Cboe Global Markets and previously with Gatsby Digital, Inc. Prior experience includes various leadership positions at CME Group, where responsibilities spanned OTC products, hedge funds, and business analysis. Liam's educational background includes studies at Providence College and ongoing pre-MBA courses at Northwestern University.
