Lorenz Kohout

Lorenz Kohout is a seasoned Derivatives Trader at Optiver, where tenure began in 2012. Between 2017 and 2021, Lorenz led a desk within the Emerging Markets team, innovating trading algorithms and strategies that significantly boosted profitability through enhanced price-time priority and volatility analysis. Prior roles include Market Maker for Eurodollar Options, where Lorenz established a new desk and exceeded profitability targets in the second year, and FX Options Market Maker, contributing to Optiver's growth in the OTC market. Lorenz began a professional career with an internship in Corporate Finance & Capital Markets at ABN AMRO Bank N.V. Educational credentials include a Master's degree in Economics from Erasmus University Rotterdam and additional studies at the University of Pennsylvania.
