Max Schwenke is an experienced FPGA Engineer currently working at Optiver since March 2023. Prior to this role, Max spent nearly a year at Baraja as an FPGA Firmware Engineer, focusing on the development and optimization of LiDAR algorithms for self-driving vehicles, and designing drivers for high-speed FPGA peripherals. At Liquid Instruments, Max held multiple positions from December 2016 to May 2022, including Senior FPGA and DSP Engineer, leading teams in project completion, and Embedded Systems and DSP Engineer, where development of scientific instruments was prioritized. Additional experience includes tutoring at the Australian National University and internships at Liquid Instruments and Cochlear, with responsibilities ranging from DSP algorithm development to firmware engineering for medical devices. Max holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) in Electrical, Electronics, and Communications Engineering from The Australian National University.
