Peter Gartland

Peter Gartland is currently a Quantitative Research professional at Optiver since October 2023, following previous experience as a Machine Learning Research Intern at Toyon Research Corporation from March to September 2023, where Peter built neural network models in PyTorch focusing on computer vision and natural language processing. Prior to that, Peter interned as a Quantitative Research Intern at Optiver in the summer of 2022. Peter holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Computer Science from UC Santa Barbara, where studies were conducted from 2019 to 2023, and a Bachelor of Science/Master of Science (BS/MS) degree in Mathematics from the University of South Carolina.
