Qi (Cheryl) Wang is currently serving as Legal Counsel at Optiver since January 2023. Previously, Cheryl held the position of Associate at Allen & Overy, focusing on cross-border M&A and private equity real estate, from July 2021 to December 2022. Cheryl also worked as an International Associate at Baker McKenzie, providing advice on cross-border M&A, bond issuance, and regulatory matters for Hong Kong-listed REITs from October 2019 to July 2021. Prior experience includes being an Associate at Zhong Lun Law Firm, where Cheryl advised on private equity real estate, cross-border M&A, and FDI matters from April 2017 to September 2019, and served as Legal Contracts Counsel at Baker Hughes, managing commercial contracts for oil and gas projects in North Asia from December 2015 to February 2017. Earlier roles included Research Assistant at Vanderbilt University and Dispute Resolution Intern at Rouse. Cheryl holds a Master of Laws (LL.M.) from Vanderbilt University Law School and a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) with honors from East China University of Political Science and Law.
