Rahul Gupta

Rahul Gupta is an experienced derivatives trader at Optiver, where responsibilities include taking discretionary positions on volatility since June 2018. Prior to this, Rahul served as an investment analyst at Meritage Capital, LLC from March 2015 to May 2018, and held leadership as the head of the Texas Undergraduate Computational Finance Group from September 2014 to May 2018. Early experiences include multiple trader intern positions at Optiver, focusing on fixed income options and S&P 500 options trading strategies. Academic research has been conducted at prestigious institutions, including work on quantum cryptography, Schrödinger's equation, and data analysis in collaboration with the Daya Bay project. Rahul holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from The University of Texas at Austin, recognized as a Turing Scholar and Dean's Scholar.
