Robert Newey is an experienced professional in data science and execution research, currently serving as an Execution Researcher at Optiver Asia Pacific since October 2019. Prior to this role, Robert held the position of Lead Data Scientist at Premonition from May 2015 to September 2019, where innovative predictive analytics and machine learning solutions for logistics were developed, including an RNN ensemble using Tensorflow on AWS Sagemaker. As the Director of Training for the Australian Informatics Olympiad Committee from September 2014 to October 2018, Robert organized significant programming contests and training camps for high school students. Robert has also contributed academically as a Research Assistant and Tutor at UNSW Australia, as well as gaining valuable experience through internships at Optiver and Google. Robert holds a double Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science and Statistics from UNSW, completed in 2017.
