William Li

William Li is a quantitative trader at Optiver since August 2023, following a role as a graduate research assistant at the University of Pennsylvania from December 2022 to May 2023. William previously interned at Optiver as a quantitative trading intern from June to September 2022 and worked as a software engineer intern at DataScan, where skills in mock data implementation through API development in C# were honed. At Touch Immersion, William developed an authentication system in Unreal Engine and contributed to securing initial seed funding. As a teaching assistant for the Mathematical Foundations of Computer Science at the University of Pennsylvania, responsibilities included leading recitations and grading for over 300 students. Early career experiences include instructing chess to elementary students at Berkeley Chess School and conducting research at the University of California, Berkeley, focusing on genetically altered fruit flies. William holds a master's degree in computer science and a bachelor's degree in computer and information sciences from the University of Pennsylvania.
