Optonaval was founded in 2013 in Hamburg-Harburg, Germany, as a company with high technical ambitions. Since then, Optonaval has developed and introduced various lighting solutions, both for land-based applications as well as for the marine environment. Today, Optonaval focuses on the areas of Helicopter Visual Landing Aids (HVLAS) and Navigation Lights as well as Security Applications. 
The global fleet of Naval Vessels, as well as Mega Yachts, are the key target market areas. It is a central aim to combine state-of-the-art technology with award-winning design.
